Across the West Coast of the United States, dozens of major wildfires have left areas desolate and in ruin. Several communities have been impacted across California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, and Montana. These fires have a huge environmental impact by destroying natural habitats, releasing harmful chemicals into the air. In California alone 16,500 firefighters are struggling against 28 major wildfires that have burned through 3.2 million acres (larger than the state of Connecticut), and resulted in 24 deaths. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes as wildfires ravage the land around them. These people have been left homeless, and in need to help. While the amazing fire fighters have been able to contain many of the fires, the fight has just begun as communities look to rebuild and plan for the future. Please think about donating to one of these organizations to help these afflicted areas.
